Enrollment & Tuition
At Okemos Nursery School we offer preschool programming for children who are no younger than 30-months old, up to six years of age. Typical enrollment options are to join our "2-day" TTh morning class, our "3-day" MWF morning class, or our "5-day" M-F afternoon class. Occasionally, we are able to accomodate other scheduling needs.
Classes typically consist of similarly-aged children (3s in our TTh Class, 4s in our MWF Class, and 5s in our Afternoon Class), who will progress each year onwards together into the following class. However, age need not be a criterion for, or a barrier against, enrollment in any class. We have found that when younger children are in a mixed age group class they are eager for the mentoring of the older children and that their inherent skills flow more readily. In the case of older children in a mixed age group, we have observed these wonderful mentoring skills developing, along with the growth of self-confidence and the characteristics of empathy, compassion and understanding.

An Enrollment Application Form and enrollment guidance notes can be viewed and printed by clicking the "Print the Application" button at the top right of this page. Enrollment Applications may be submitted at any time, with the understanding that our Open Enrollment Period opens each year in the latter half of January. Openings occasionally occur throughout the year and those spots may be offered to families on our Wait List.

Suggestion for appropriate class selection
"5-Days" Monday through Friday Afternoons
(Hours: 12:30-3:30)
This class is highly recommended for children who will be moving on to attend kindergarten the following year, typically students entering their third year at ONS and turning 5 years old by the end of the academic year. Creative Movement with Kellyn Uhl, Music with Wanda Degen, Studio Art with Corey Quintus, Science with Carol McGrath, and Nature Discovery with Jim McGrath will be offered in this session.
"3-Days" Monday-Wednesday-Friday Mornings
(Hours: 9:00-12 noon)
This class is generally recommended for children who will be four years old by the end of the academic year, typically students entering their second year at ONS. Creative Movement with Kellyn Uhl, Music with Wanda Degen, and Nature Discovery with Jim Mc Grath will be offered in this session.
"2-Days" Tuesday-Thursday Mornings
(Hours: 9:00-12 noon)
This class is generally recommended for children who are at least 30-months old when they begin at ONS, and who will be three years old by the end of the academic year. Creative Movement with Kellyn Uhl and Music with Wanda Degen will be offered in this session.
